February Breakfast Meeting

• The February breakfast meeting of the CNY Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association will be held at 7:45 am Thursday, February 11, 2010, at the Maplewood Inn in Liverpool.


Our speaker, Connie Patterson from Patterson Farms in Auburn, New York. Connie will talk to us about environmental issues that face farmers in a presentation entitled "Air Quality and Manure Management 2010." Patterson Farms is a 2,500 acre, 1,800-head dairy farm that generates approximately 50,000 gallons of manure waste daily and is located in a high risk environmental area. The sixth generation is focused on improving the land and in being a good neighbor.

Danielle Mettler, from the law firm of Hiscock & Barclay, will provide a legal update.

Cost:

The A&WMA Breakfast Meetings are part of the annual program that the CNY Chapter conducts. Cost of the meeting is free for members of CNY A&WMA, and $10 for non-members, payable at the meeting.

If you are not a member, we encourage you to become one. A local associate membership in the Central NY Chapter is only $20 per year ($10 for students). You can sign up at the meeting or download the membership application online.

The Maplewood Inn is located at 400 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088:

• From The North: 81 South to Exit 25 (7th North St.) Right off the ramp and right into parking lot.
• From the South: 81 North to Exit 25 (7th North St.) Right off the ramp go over the bridge and the hotel is on the right hand side.


• From the East: 690 West to 81 North Exit 25 (7th North St.) right off ramp, go over bridge and hotel is on the right.


• From the West: 690 East to Hiawatha Blvd. Hiawatha Blvd to 81 North., 81 North to Exit 25 right off the ramp go over bridge. Hotel will be on the right hand side.


• From the NYS Thruway: Exit 36 to 81 South, Exit 25 (7th North St.) turn right off ramp right into hotel parking lot.
