November 2023 Virtual Lunch Meeting
The AWMA-CNY Chapter will host our next monthly meeting with a virtual lunch meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Derek Rosso, PE, Senior Engineer and Jonah Munholland, Senior Remediation Engineer of Arcadis will present “Thermal In Situ Sustainable Remediation (TISR®) To Enhanced Biotic and Abiotic Reactions and Accelerate Remediation.” TISR® is an inexpensive and practical method for modest heating of target contaminant treatment zones in the subsurface utilizing a sustainable heat source (generally solar or waste heat), closed loop fluid circulation, and subsurface heating via low-maintenance borehole heat exchangers (BHEs). This presentation will help participants recognize and understand Thermal In-Situ Sustainable Remediation (TISR®) as a low temperature and green remedial alternative.
PDHs may be available for attending this presentation. Once this is determined, participants will be notified.
The meeting will take place virtually and you will be provided with a link to the meeting after your sign up, the day prior to the presentation. The meeting schedule will be as follows:
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Open Zoom Meeting Format (bring your lunch for a casual, non-structured half hour to catch up with your fellow participants).
12:00 – 12:05 PM – Housekeeping Announcements and Introductions
12:05 - 1:00 PM – Featured Speaker
1:00 – 1:15 PM – Time for Q&A and Additional Networking
